Day 6/21 cycling the entire length of Norway ????????????‍♂️

Nordkapp → Lindesnes.

Today was a rest day.

Which apparently now means cycling 62 km.

I’m starting to think road cycling has completely destroyed my understanding of the word “rest”.

But if you’re going to have an easy day on a bikepacking trip through Norway, Senja is a pretty good place to do it.

Today’s route took me across beautiful Senja, surrounded by mountains, fjords, tiny fishing villages and some of the most spectacular coastal roads in Northern Norway.

No 150+ km mission.

No massive climbing day.

Just me, the Merida Scultura 9000, tired legs and some ridiculously good Norwegian scenery.

And at the end?

Bike straight onto the ferry and across to Andøya. ⛴️????

There’s something pretty special about travelling through Norway like this.

No car.

No rushing between destinations.

Just cycling from one island to the next and watching the landscape slowly change around you.

This is exactly what I hoped cycling the entire length of Norway would feel like.

Although calling 62 km a rest day is mildly concerning.

Day 6 done. ✅
