Day 1/21 of cycling the entire length of Norway ????????????‍♂️

I’ve officially started riding from Nordkapp to Lindesnes — from the northernmost road point of Norway all the way to the south.

This is my biggest cycling challenge yet, and over the next 21 days I’ll be documenting what it actually looks like to cycle across Norway: the road cycling, the tunnels, the climbs, the weather, the wildlife, the tiny towns, the ridiculous moments, and everything that goes wrong in between.

Day 1 started at the North Cape and immediately reminded me that cycling in Northern Norway is not exactly predictable.

Reindeer on the road.
Endless Arctic views.
Dolphins and otters during snack breaks.
And enough tunnels to make me reconsider every decision that led me here.

One of them was around 7 km long, full of traffic and genuinely horrible to ride through. Then, somehow, the next tunnel had a bike lane and felt like a five-star cycling resort.

Norway keeps you humble.

But this challenge is about more than riding a bike from north to south.

I’m using this Nordkapp to Lindesnes cycling journey to raise money for Mental Helse Ungdom, supporting better mental health for young people in Norway.
