We made it to Nordkapp — but the challenge isn't over.
Now we have to get the bikes, and ourselves, all the way back to the UK. ????????

After finally reaching Nordkapp, we leave Honningsvåg and begin the long journey south. Our chosen route takes us more towards the western side, while avoiding the islands and ferry crossings, before crossing back into Finland and eventually ending the day in Sweden.

And it's absolutely freezing.

The temperatures are bad enough, but the harsh, icy winds make things even more difficult. The more exposed the roads become, the harder the bikes are to ride, with the wind constantly pushing against us.

We stop only when we need fuel and somehow manage to cover over 400 miles again.

By the time we finally start looking for somewhere to stay, reasonably priced hotels are proving almost impossible to find. Eventually, we end up with a lodge each.

There's just one problem...

The restaurant isn't open.

With the nearest shop about to close, I have to make a last-minute dash to grab whatever food I can find. I make it back with a few bits and pieces, and that's dinner sorted — although calling it a meal might be generous!

Then, as we settle down for the night, the Arctic wilderness provides one final surprise...

Wolves start howling outside as we try to sleep. ????

Despite the freezing temperatures, brutal winds and another huge day in the saddle, none of the three bikes are giving us any real problems.

And that's becoming an increasingly interesting part of this journey.

The Voge DS900X is a Chinese motorcycle, and Chinese bikes have traditionally had a pretty poor reputation. This trip was always intended to put that reputation to the test — not by talking about it, but by actually riding one thousands of miles across Europe and into the Arctic.

But reaching Nordkapp was only half the challenge.

Now we have to get back home.

The return journey has begun.
