Following a night of wild camping by Bodø’s reservoir (Video Journal #4), I rolled into Nygårdsjøen for a much-needed coffee and reset. This small gas station was my first stop of the morning — a place to warm up, check the weather, and gather my thoughts before continuing south.

The wind persisted, with occasional showers passing through, but otherwise it was a calm, steady morning. The sky shifted between sun and cloud, and the ride ahead promised a mix of coastal and highland views. Sometimes these little roadside pauses feel just as important to the journey as the long stretches in the saddle.

This is Begin Again — a year-long ride from North Cape, Norway to Cape Town, South Africa, to explore gratitude, resilience, and what it means to live awake in the world.
