In this video, I’m breaking down my highly optimized, minimal travel camera and lenses setup for my upcoming photography trip. While full frame mirrorless systems from Sony, Canon, and Nikon or even APS-C bodies from Fuji offer incredible performance, they often force you into carrying heavy camera gear. As an enthusiast travel photographer, I prefer the compact, lightweight philosophy of the Micro Four Thirds system. For this destination, my primary camera of choice is the tiny Panasonic Lumix G100, paired with the versatile Panasonic Leica 15mm f1.7 prime lens for everyday street photography, environmental portraits, and casual food shots. This setup strikes the perfect balance between portability and image quality without the physical burden of a massive camera bag.

To keep this kit versatile yet fun and engaging to shoot with, I'm bypassing a standard superzoom or kit lens in favor of a tightly dialed-in, three-lens compartmentalization strategy. Alongside my main Leica prime, I'm packing the ultra-wide angle 7artisans 10mm f3.5 for sweeping landscape photography and a secret weapon telephoto, the ultra-compact Panasonic Lumix 35-100mm f4-5.6 for beautiful lens compression shots.
