The new Panasonic Lumix L10 has finally arrived. For over a decade, I dreamed of an LX100 with a fully articulating screen and a mic jack, and Panasonic finally delivered. This premium successor is a huge deal for the Micro Four Thirds system, especially with the addition of Phase Hybrid AF (PDAF) and the powerful sensor from the Lumix GH7. If you are looking for a compact camera that competes with the Fujifilm X100VI or Ricoh GR III but offers more versatility with a 24-75mm Leica zoom lens, this might be the one. It looks like a great move for MFT enthusiasts who want professional specs in a small, pocketable body.

However, it is not all perfect. The lens seems to be the same one from the original LX100 series, which brings up concerns about lens dust and slower motorized zoom speeds. In this video, I share my honest thoughts on whether the Lumix L10 is a must-buy or if I am sticking with my current setup for now. While I am not buying it immediately, I am excited about the direction Panasonic is taking. I am still holding out hope for a version with interchangeable lenses (maybe a GX10?), but for now, this is a strong contender for the best premium compact camera of 2026.
