We are so excited for the new Amtrak route Northern Lights Express. Amtrak is launching this new route to one of the northern most big cities in the US. Although you will not be able to see the Northern Lights from the train, unless you travel at night in winter, you will be able to likely see them from Duluth for much of the winter. This route will travel from Minneapolis to Duluth, will take around 2 hours and will only cost about $35.
These will not be Amtrak Sleeper Cars, but will have coach seating available.
