Come join us as we continue our 17 day incredible Sea and Land journey from New York City to the beautiful land of ICE & FIRE that is Iceland!!
In this episode we've arrived in the town of Akureyri! It's time to get off this ship and explore with Saga Travel the beautiful geologically stunning surrounding countryside!

After breakfast it's time for the results of progressive trivia!! Despite it being cut throat we've having previously blasted into 3rd place we were able to keep 3rd place overall!! YAY!!! Watch the video to see all the amazing places with visited in Akureyri on both days (We stayed here overnight as well) Dinner was at wonderful Onda by Scarpeta, a simply amazing Italian restaurant that was one of our culinary highlights of the whole trip!
As we left Akureyri the captain informed us that we would need to divert to the north of Iceland as a huge weather low had developed near Reykjavik. Hurricane forces winds were driving huge seas, and for the most part we were able to avoid them....for the most part!!
It's hard to believe that our fantastic sea voyage is nearly over...next stop is Reykjavik and our land explorations begin!!
