The West Norweigan Fjord region is one of the best places for a summer road trip you will find anywhere in the world. The landscapes are incredible, the fjords beautiful, and there are so many amazing hikes and activities both on land, ice, and the water that make it an action packed adventure and a wonderful place to explore.

Some of the best Norway road trip highlights can be found on the side of the road and away from the main tourist spots, and you could turn down almost any road and find a unique place. This is why we recommend renting a car and exploring rather than being on a bus tour.
