I thought Iceland was a wasteland — rain, snow, and volcanic rock roads with
hours of nothing in between. Nine days and 1,438 km around the Ring Road later...
I have never been more wrong. Waterfalls we didn't even stop for, a glacier walk
that froze us solid (worth it), puffins, seals, Icelandic horses at golden hour,
and beauty at literally every turn.

As promised — the whole route, every hotel, every stop:

Day 0 — Land at Keflavík → 201 Hotel (Kópavogur)
Day 1 — Golden Circle: Þingvellir, Geysir, Gullfoss + a ridiculous blue river
→ Hotel South Coast (Selfoss)
Day 2 — THE day: Seljalandsfoss (walk behind it!), Gljúfrabúi, Skógafoss stairs,
Sólheimajökull glacier walk, Dyrhólaey puffins + sunset
→ Giljur Guesthouse (Vík)
Day 3 — South coast drive east → Hotel Brekka í Lóni Farm
Day 4 — Vestrahorn + Stokksnes black dunes, East Fjords, reindeer, Djúpivogur
→ Hotel Hallormsstaður
Day 5 — Dettifoss (rainbow included), Goðafoss → Hótel Norðurland (Akureyri)
Day 6 — The day the sun came out: Icelandic horses, golden hour
→ Dalahyttur Lodge
Day 7 — Snæfellsnes ("Iceland in miniature"): Ytri-Tunga seals, Rauðfeldsgjá
gorge, Arnarstapi cliffs, Saxhóll crater, Öndverðarnes lighthouse,
sunset drives → Dalahyttur Lodge
Day 8 — West coast down to Reykjavík, city walking
Day 9 — Rainbow street, Hallgrímskirkja, THE hot dog (Bæjarins Beztu) → airport
