This is part 26 of my road trip series Into the Wild North – Iceland.

Today I return to the Icelandic Highlands and revisit the place where I crashed two years ago while riding F-roads. Back then, a local guide and his wife took care of me after the accident and the helicopter rescue, and now I’m back with them as friends. From the crash site in the Iceland Highlands, we continue by car through remote mountain roads, gravel roads and volcanic landscapes before spending the night at their cabin. A mix of Iceland motorcycle travel, Iceland road trip, F-roads, Iceland Highlands, highland roads, mountain roads, off-road riding, gravel riding, Royal Enfield Himalayan, motorcycle adventure, motorcycle crash, helicopter rescue, air ambulance, ambulance, local life, Iceland sightseeing, remote roads and returning to the place where everything changed. Tomorrow, back on the road on my Royal Enfield Himalayan, to explore Iceland south coast. And it's gonna get wild
