This 2023 update to route A will take you as close as you can get to the active volcanic eruption in Litli Hrútur near Fagradalsfjall in Iceland.

I recorded the whole hike with my GoPro strapped to my chest. It sure wasn't easy. But I was determined. Last time I failed to get close enough to the volcano to get my dream drone shot. This time I was determined to get it even if it meant hiking 20 kilometers (12.5 miles).
