The 55km long Laugavegur Trail is the most famous multi-day hike in Iceland, and for very good reason. I hiked the trail over three days in the summer of 2024. I started my hike at Landmannalaugar in the highlands after taking the bus from Reykjavik with Reykjavik Excursions. The first day involved a climb up from the valley onto the ridge and a night camped on a patch of rocks surrounded by snow. The second day was the longest, at around 27km. Most people do this section over two days, stopping at the hut halfway. On the third and final day, I walked out to Þórsmörk (Thorsmork). Make sure you are subscribed so you don't miss the next video, which will be on the Fimmvörðuháls Trail from Þórsmörk to Skogar!
