The water level in Flathead Lake continued its steady drop on Friday.

According to United States Geological Survey data, the lake's level sat at 2,891.93 feet at 7 p.m., over a foot below full pool.

With officials predicting the lake could drop to almost two feet below full pool, NBC Montana followed up with Flathead Lake businesses to find out how low water is impacting their bottom line.

“I’m very concerned because we've got a lot of boats out here and they're very expensive boats and we don’t want to see them wrecked. We want people to be able to rent them out and enjoy and have fun out on the lake” said Sayler Griffith, a bar manager at the North Shore Tikki Bar in Bigfork.

The drop in water level is presenting challenges at Blue Cat Boat Rentals in Bigfork harbor, making it difficult to get boats in and out of slips.
