With the ongoing conflict in the middle east, and significantly rising fuel costs. Icelandair has brought forward their 757 retirement a year, with the final 757-200s leaving their fleet in winter 2026. The 757 has been the backbone of their fleet since 1990, and has been an iconic part of Icelandic aviation history since. Connecting Iceland to the rest of the world, operating 40 different 757s over the years. Here's one of their 757s visiting Glasgow back in April, and just the week before, the same plane in the video was involved in the infamous retirement flypast.
