Missing me yet? Of course you are! I've had to move things back another week unfortunately. I thought I had a job in the bag which unfortunately has left me up shit creek without a paddle. In the meantime I missed you guys so I thought I should at the very least jump on and get a bit more "Fun Play" action going! First light is one of the other games I asked for on my 40th so I'm hoping it doesn't disappoint. I can already feel the Waifu vibes from Mr. X creeping their way into the question pool. Let's talk about 007 bondage first shall we? Well, I was originally not in favour of this game. I always liked playing a grizzled veteran when it came to James Bond. Still, opinions are good when they're challenged and I would love nothing more then to be wrong for hating on this particular entry. Despite what certain fronts of the internet believe I do not get up in the morning to hate on an experience. I go on my gut and correct my opinion when its wrong like any well adjusted human/demon. 007 First Light follows at young 26 year old James Bond at the start of his career as a trainee air crewman who finds himself on a reconnaissance mission off the coast of Iceland. Bond and his team are ambushed by a syndicate known as "Arrowhead" leaving him as the sole survivor. Bond is then recruited for the 00 program when his bravery and raw instinct impresses the head of MI6. Bonds training is cut short when a conspiracy is uncovered putting the entire country at risk. Is bond up the to the task? Is he worthy of the number? Let's find out! First light was built on IO Interactive's proprietary Glacier engine and is a third person action adventure brawler with run and gun style combat. The game employs non-linear environments with multiple methods of infiltration (somewhat akin to IO's Hitman series) with social deception and a licence to kill combat loop. Bond can only kill when he is under threat of death which means the player for the most part will be engaging in hand to hand combat.
