Scene Twenty-Seven | Winter Drive Through the Arctic Blue Hour — Road Whispers follows the winter road toward Alta as the last light slowly disappears from the landscape. For much of the drive, the sky moves between soft pink and deep blue while snow covers the hills and open plains on both sides of the road. As the journey continues, those colours gradually fade into the darker blue of the Arctic evening, with the road and occasional lights becoming more prominent as Alta gets closer.

At one point, the battery level was getting lower than I was comfortable with and I started wondering a little too much about whether I would reach the next charger. But the landscape kept pulling my attention back outside. Somewhere between the snow, the changing sky and the road ahead, I almost forgot that I had been worried about it.

The drive eventually ends in Alta at a Tesla charging station, a very ordinary ending to a journey that, for most of the way, felt anything but ordinary. There is no music in this chapter. Just the sound of the car, the winter road and the journey continuing through the changing Arctic light.
