Can we leave the tent behind, and just straight up winter camp inside a lean-to? The answer is yes, but we still have a lot to learn! Come learn along with us as we test out a new form of winter camping without a tent. Hopefully you can learn from our successes and failures!

In this video we do our best to show you the entire set-up and tear-down so you can try this out too if you want to. We set up the inside of the shelter, cook some food over the fire, and enjoy some time outdoors. Our DIY winter camping set-up is made out of moving blankets, velcro, a clear plastic shower curtain, a handful of thumbtacks, and honestly that is pretty-much it! The entire project cost ~$60 to build, and we heated it using a big buddy portable heater with a 20lb tank.
