VW T4 Syncro Faroe Islands overlanding continues with a Faroe Islands road trip through remote islands, tunnels, waterfalls and historic sites. Discover wild camping and 4x4 adventure in the Faroe Islands.

I quickly realize that distances between places on the islands are short; before you know it, you’ve visited every island accessible by car—or perhaps you discover even more islands connected by tunnels. You can drive from the northernmost tip to the southernmost corner in a couple of hours. The tunnels are expensive, so it pays to plan your route carefully. On my way to see a World War II-era cannon built by British forces, I came across an undersea roundabout known as the "Jellyfish." In the south, I visited the Ship Coast Memorial. Near one of the towns, I found a waterfall surrounded by a small forest, and in the center of a small town, I explored a Viking-era farmstead.
