To recap my day and give some tips if you plan to island hop as well:
- I explored three islands: Hovedøya, Gressholmen, Langøyene
- They are not regularly inhabited, but a lot of these islands have summer cottages that Norwegians own as vacation homes basically
- The beaches are so nice! Very raw, beautiful, clean, and for the most part, calm
- If you're traveling around Oslo with a public transit pass (which you can purchase through the Ruter app), that covers the ferry rides to these islands! So it's such a good deal

- I recommend bringing all your beach things when you go, because most of these islands do not sell any chairs, blankets, or food.
