An untold number of innovations now standard in modern forts and bunkers, all came from Fort de Mutzig, The German built fortress became the largest in the world by the turn of the century. Born out of the French/Prussian war it is an amazing place.


So many worlds firsts were tried and perfected here, from its trial and errors sprung the Maginot line, the Atlantic Wall and Ostwall, It all started here. And after 40 years of careful restoration it is amazing to see.


Also we will do a quick history dive in the French/Prussian war of 1870 that lead to this forts construction.
