From the Europe Regional Advisory Committee's Webinar Series 1: State of the energy Industry in Europe, Kristian Johansen (CEO, TGS) presents "State of the Global Seismic Industry". This webinar was recorded 7 June 2018.


Abstract: Seismic is a global industry representing 2-3% of international E&P spending. The industry is dominated by four global players in addition to a large number of niche players both onshore and offshore. Being an early-cyclical sub-segment of the oil service industry, several seismic companies have been through a challenging time in the recent down-cycle. With the oil price back in the +70s, the outlook for the seismic industry looks better. Mr. Johansen will discuss some of the key drivers for growth and the value proposition for E&Ps going forward.
