Dr. Myron Peck is a Professor of Experimental Biological Oceanography at the University of Hamburg. His group uses knowledge on the physiology of invertebrates and fish, social-ecological field research, and various types of advanced modeling to understand the causes and effects of how environmental drivers (such as climate change) influence marine species, habitats and sectors such as aquaculture.

This talked summarized what we have learned from recent EU programs about the effects of climate change on the European aquaculture sector, including projections of physical and biogeochemical impacts that are relevant to the culture of fish and shellfish and the biological consequences expected for key species grown in marine and freshwater farms.

EAS talk is a series of webinars that are coordinated and moderated by the EAS secretariat.

The series aims to present a wide range of subjects that reflect the multi-disciplinary nature of EAS and the aquaculture community in general. This includes overviews of aquaculture research areas, production and technologies (including from EAS Corporate members), but also mixed with presentations on our network and its benefits and specific topics for our large student community.
