I followed Kit Birks’ incredible Stride Beyond Silence journey for much of the way — through the highs and lows, brutal weather, exhaustion, moments of joy, and her remarkable openness about her own mental health along the way.

But this journey was never only about the distance.

Kit walked to raise awareness for suicide prevention and mental health, carrying with her the names and memories of people lost to suicide.

This song is my tribute to Kit, to the extraordinary journey she completed, and to every name she carried along the way.
